1. Scope
This Policy explains how Walk with God: Bible Chat collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data across its website, mobile applications, generated reflections, community features, credit wallet, and support channels.
2. Data we collect
- Account data, such as email address, user ID, public display name, locale, and faith mode.
- Authentication and security data, such as session records, account events, and password-reset requests. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not available to us in plain text.
- User input, including spiritual questions, dreams, prayer requests, Daily Path information, feedback, reports, and saved favorites.
- Generated content, conversation history, Scripture references, safety flags, and technical metadata about generation.
- Community content, including room messages, timestamps, reports, moderation actions, and blocked-user relationships when available.
- Credit and transaction data, including balances, ledger entries, product IDs, store provider, transaction identifiers, and verification results. We do not receive full payment-card details from Apple or Google.
- Technical data, such as IP address, device or browser information, logs, errors, security signals, and service usage events.
- Support communications and information voluntarily submitted when requesting help.
3. Sensitive information
Spiritual questions, prayer requests, dreams, health-related statements, and crisis messages may reveal sensitive information. Submit only what is necessary. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, private addresses, or another person's confidential information. Community messages are visible to other signed-in members and should never be treated as private.
4. Why we process data
- To create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and provide password recovery.
- To generate requested reflections, prayers, Daily Path plans, and practical steps.
- To provide Scripture, calendar, history, favorites, wallet, and community functions.
- To process and verify digital purchases and prevent duplicate or fraudulent credit grants.
- To detect crisis language, abuse, prohibited content, fraud, technical failures, and security threats.
- To respond to support, privacy, safety, legal, and moderation requests.
- To improve reliability, safety controls, product design, and service performance.
- To comply with accounting, consumer, platform, legal, and regulatory obligations.
5. Legal bases
Depending on the context and applicable law, processing is based on performance of our contract with the user, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, protection of vital interests in limited safety situations, or consent where required. Users may withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
6. Artificial intelligence processing
User prompts may be sent to an AI provider to generate requested content. Inputs can contain personal or sensitive information, so users should minimize details. AI output is not a decision carrying legal or similarly significant effects and must not be relied on as professional advice. Safety reports and filters may use automated processing, with human review where appropriate.
7. Community visibility and moderation
Public display names and community messages are available to signed-in members. Reports are available to authorized moderation personnel. We may preserve, review, restrict, or disclose content where reasonably necessary to enforce rules, investigate abuse, protect users, comply with law, or respond to valid legal requests. Do not post information you want kept private.
8. Service providers and recipients
We may use service providers including:
- Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure.
- Railway for application hosting and operational logs.
- OpenAI for eligible AI-generated responses.
- Apple and Google for app distribution, in-app purchases, and transaction verification.
- Email providers for authentication, recovery, support, and service messages.
- Professional advisers, authorities, or counterparties when required for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, or a legitimate corporate transaction.
Providers may process data only for their contracted purpose and under their own applicable terms, security measures, and legal obligations.
9. International transfers
Providers may process data outside Romania or the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, and supplementary security measures.
10. Retention
We retain account data while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward where necessary. Conversation history and favorites remain until deleted by the user or account deletion, subject to backups and legal exceptions. Community content may remain until deleted or moderated. Reports, transaction records, fraud signals, accounting data, and security logs may be retained longer where required to resolve disputes, protect users, prevent abuse, or comply with law. Backup deletion may take additional time.
11. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, authentication, restricted service credentials, database security policies, logging, and other reasonable measures. No online service is completely secure. Users must protect their password and notify support if they suspect unauthorized access.
12. User choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about processing. Users may delete conversations and their account using available controls. Requests can be sent to support@walkwithgod.chat or started from the account deletion page. We may verify identity before acting and may retain information where a legal exception applies.
Users may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian data-protection authority or the competent authority in their country. We encourage users to contact us first so we can try to resolve the concern.
13. Children
Walk with God is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly create accounts for children who cannot lawfully consent. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal data should contact us for review and deletion.
14. Cookies and local storage
The web service may use essential browser storage for authentication, security, language, and interface preferences. We do not describe optional advertising or analytics cookies unless and until they are actually implemented with any consent controls required by law.
15. Account deletion
Account deletion removes the authentication account and connected application records such as profile, conversations, favorites, and community messages, subject to lawful retention of transaction, security, moderation, fraud, dispute, and backup records. Public deletion instructions are available at walkwithgod.chat/delete-account.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect product, provider, safety, or legal changes. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another reasonable method. The effective date identifies the current version.
